It has been a no good, very bad week for White House Deputy Chief of Staff Stephen Miller.
In a sit-down interview with Fox News’ resident homophobe Laura Ingraham yesterday, Miller threw a fit over Supreme Court Handmaiden Justice Amy Coney Barrett authoring a 5-4 opinion allowing states to count mail-in ballots postmarked on or before Election Day but that arrive later.
“Let’s just call it like it is,” he seethed to Ingraham at the sparsely-attended Great American State Fair. “Justice Roberts and Justice Barrett decided to cave to the radical left.”
“It’s Election Day, not election week, not election months!”

He then went on to call the whole thing a “travesty” and said it’s all the more reason why Congress must pass Tr*mp’s Save America Act, before descending into his usual brand of fearmongering that we won’t bother to repeat here.
If that wasn’t bad enough, this morning Miller got another reality check when the Supreme Court upheld birthright citizenship by rejecting an executive order issued by Tr*mp declaring children born to people who are in the United States illegally or temporarily are not U.S. citizens.
In addition to being a staunch opponent of LGBTQ+ rights, particularly trans rights, Miller is one of the chief architects behind Tr*mp’s anti-immigration agenda. He’s also been one of the loudest critics of the 14th Amendment, which was ratified in 1868 to say, “All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside.”
Just the other day, he went on Fox News to demand SCOTUS issue a unanimous ruling that does away with birthright citizenship, saying it was the only way to save our democracy.
“If this country doesn’t, one way or another, end birthright citizenship, this country doesn’t have a future,” he insisted. “Citizenship has to be sacred and precious.”
Sadly for him, SCOTUS doesn’t take orders from a manchild having a televised tempter tantrum because the Constitution refused to give him the answer he wanted.
Against Miller’s wishes, the Court ruled 6-3 to uphold nearly 160 years of precedent and preserve birthright citizenship. Chief Justice John Roberts wrote the opinion for a majority and was joined by liberals Justices Sonia Sotomayor, Elena Kagan and Ketanji Brown Jackson and conservative Justices Brett Kavanaugh and Amy Coney Barrett.
All this comes just days after Miller was reportedly “blindsided” by Tr*mp when the 80-year-old president nominated Richard “Lance” Schroyer, a former Oklahoma highway patrolman, to lead ICE.
Schroyer was picked by Homeland Security Secretary Markwayne Mullin, not Miller, who is supposed to be Tr*mp’s immigration lead. And that appears to have hurt his feelings almost as much as losing those two Supreme Court fights.
“Everyone was blindsided by the selection,” an insider told Punchup, suggesting Miller’s grasp over the president appears to be slipping. “He may be getting boxed out,” the source added.
Others within ICE are also said to be fuming. Another source told Punchup, “Troops not happy at all. Senior leaders not happy. No experience. He was a trooper. But that’s it. Never a boss. Never a leader. Never had to manage a budget. Now he has $78 billion dollars. Now he has 32,000 employees.”
With stellar qualifications like that, it’s no wonder Tr*mp picked him!
A spokesperson for the White House called Punchup’s report “total fake news” and said Miller was fully aware of Tr*mp’s decision and “involved in the process and very supportive.” You choose who you want to believe.
Clearly, given everything, Miller’s not a happy camper right now. But at least he’s got his transphobic wife Katie to comfort him with a fresh plate Mickey Mouse waffles.
