If there’s one thing that President Tr*mp is obsessed with, it’s winning the Nobel Peace Prize.

Time after time, the President has whined about how he believes he deserves it, and thrown shade at anyone else who wins it over him.

Now, an unlikely figure has stepped forward to nominate Tr*mp for the prize: Hunter Biden.

The son of former President Joe Biden returned to X with a vengeance toward the end of May. His posts about his sobriety anniversary earned praise from across the political spectrum. However, Biden Jr. has also not held back on mocking the Republicans who so gleefully tried to exploit his addictions and past behaviour for their own political gain.

Yesterday, Biden took aim at the President over his desperation for Nobel approval. Biden said he was officially nominating the President for the Peace Prize.

“No President in History has ended the same war so many times,” Biden explained.

“Our Dear Leader has ended the war with Iran at least 38 times by CNN’s count.

“No President has ever done this before.

“And he is nowhere near finished ending it.

“It’s a record worthy of the Nobel committee’s recognition. Thank you for your attention to this matter!”

The tweet received over a quarter of a million likes in less than 24 hours.

Although some MAGA diehards and bots fumed at someone mocking their golden calf, Biden won over some detractors with his humor.

Others said that Biden was underselling the President’s self-proclaimed achievements.

The President’s desperation to win a Peace Prize

Last October, when the Nobel Prize committee announced it was awarding its 2025 Peace Prize to Venezuelan opposition leader María Corina Machado, Tr*mp said of her, “The person who actually got the Nobel Prize called today, called me, and said ‘I’m accepting this in honor of you, because you really deserved it.’ A really nice thing to do.”

In January, Machado visited the White House and left her physical medal as a gift for the Chaos-In-Chief.

“She is a wonderful woman who has been through so much. María presented me with her Nobel Peace Prize for the work I have done,” the President said.

The Norwegian Nobel Institute subsequently clarified that the prize cannot be transferred regardless of what happens to the physical medal.

In January, writing for The Atlantic, historian and journalist Anne Applebaum said the President was “maniacally, unhealthily obsessive about the Nobel Prize”. Applebaum was reacting to a letter the President sent to the Prime Minister of Norway, Jonas Gahr Støre, in which he suggested he had every right to seize Greenland after he failed again to win a Nobel Prize.

“Dear Jonas: Considering your Country decided not to give me the Nobel Peace Prize for having stopped 8 Wars PLUS, I no longer feel an obligation to think purely of Peace, although it will always be predominant, but can now think about what is good and proper for the United States of America. Denmark cannot protect that land from Russia or China, and why do they have a ‘right of ownership’ anyway? There are no written documents, it’s only a boat that landed there hundreds of years ago, but we had boats landing there, also.”
