While “far-left” trans activists face a new visa restriction policy to keep them in the country, Kash Patel is taking a trip to one of the most anti-LGBTQ+ countries on the planet.
The burning question is… WHY???
Last night, word hit the street that Patel was taking a four day trip to Moscow, hosted by the FBS, formerly the KGB. Apart from that, details are lacking—and it’s raising a lot of eyebrows.
“While we can hope that he’s there to talk about the Russian interference in the 2016 election,” journalist V Spehar reported, “it’s very unlikely that’s why he’s going to Russia.”

Over the past several years, the Russian government has systematically stripped away LGBTQ+ rights, forcing the community deeper into the shadows. It started with broad bans on any public mention or representation of queer lives, labeling them “propaganda.” Then came the bans on gender-affirming healthcare and legal status changes. And a recent Supreme Court ruling went so far as to label the international LGBTQ+ movement an “extremist organization.”
Even if we don’t consider the country’s storied anti-LGBTQ+ policies and persecution, Russia hasn’t exactly been a staunch ally of the states in recent years. Patel’s trip, in fact, marks the first time in over 10 years that an FBI director has set foot in the Kremlin. The trip is slated for mid-October, and we don’t yet know if Patel plans to meet with Putin. In fact, we don’t know anything, including why this trip was planned amid escalating tensions between Russia, the US, and Ukraine.
The good news is that knowing Kash Patel, the trip is more likely to be centered on pleasure than business. But also knowing Patel, it’s definitely not out of the question to assume that any accidental business that happens will be of shady nature.
Remember Patel’s 2023 book, Government Gangsters, where he tried to paint Robert Mueller as an evil puppet of the “deep state”? And who can forget Patel’s children’s book on the same subject,The Plot Against the King? We might have laughed Patel’s conspiracy theories off in 2023, but the FBI director’s history of simping for Russia is coming back to cause concern in light of the mysterious new travel plans.
The news of Patel’s trip hit the same day that the State Department issued a warning to Americans traveling overseas, specifically in the Middle East. As Tr*mp’s foibles continue to make us one of the most hated countries in the world, the threat to Americans abroad is real. But that’s not stopping Patel from partying it up with the Neo-KGB.
It gets even weirder when you remember that, two years ago, Patel was paid $25,000 for a cameo in a Russian propaganda series where he reiterates the statements made in Government Gangsters: that Mueller’s Russia probe was a hoax and that the Deep State was responsible for corruption in the states, not Tr*mp-backed foreign interference.
In the Russian-backed Tucker Carlson documentary, Patel says: “I’m the guy that’s going to tell you they need major reforms. I’m going to tell you to shut down the FBI headquarters building and open it up as a museum of the Deep State the next day. Seriously, you need 50 guys in Washington running the FBI.”
In the intervening years, he’s had plenty of chances to reform the FBI. But all he’s done so far is apparently take expensive taxpayer-funded private jet trips with his talent-free girlfriend. Corruption for me but not for thee?
