Troye Sivan is teasing his next album in the cheekiest of ways.
In recent weeks, the full-fledged pop star and twink extraordinaire has (briefly) publicized his finsta, posted a stunning new photo of himself wearing nothing but lacy lingerie and a leather duster coat, and shaken his rump to mimic one of his most iconic music vids.
Outfitted in a light orange sweater and black punts, Sivan stood cheek to cheek with an image of himself from the video of his 2023 hit, “Got Me Started.” Much like in the vid, Sivan’s pants are pulled down to reveal the outline of his derriere.
But unlike the blonde-haired boy on the poster, Sivan wasn’t showing a pair of tight, little red undies. Instead, the now-black-haired 31-year-old was wearing… red and blue checkered cotton boxer briefs?!

On X, where the video has been viewed 1.1 million times, some gays were aghast at his attire. “gays starting to replace briefs in favor of these patterned boxers must be a recession indicator,” somebody posted.

Technically there’s been no official confirmation of the pop star’s fourth album, but his alt account says otherwise…
Always an artist, Sivan clearly planned out his peachy reveal. From our vantage point, it’s pretty clear he gave himself a wedgie.

But even if Sivan hadn’t pulled up his boxers—and left his shorts nice and loose—what would be the big deal? As the “Bloom” singer has blossomed into adulthood, he’s embraced the natural evolution of his look.
Earlier this year, Sivan smacked down a plastic surgeon who provided him with unsolicited advice on how “re-twinkify” himself. 
His Substack post was titled, “F this guy!“
“I’m 30. I’ve struggled with my body image for a lot of my life, as i’m sure most people have,” he wrote. “I’m historically famously skinny, and i’m not THAT skinny anymore. I’m historically famously twinky (I am still the google search result image for ‘twink’), and i’m not THAT twinky anymore.”
Sivan went on to say he vacillates between wanting to embrace his changing looks (what he called his “Prong #1” approach) or seeking expensive treatments to hold back time (“Prong #2”).
Whatever Sivan is doing, it’s working. He’s generated a ton of buzz over the last couple of weeks with risqué, enigmatic teases.
On his finsta alone, he shared pics of him with ex-bf Jacob Bixenman, an apparent sixth toe and a near-nude, obscured by a well-placed star emoji.
On his public account, he shared the aforementioned pic of himself in a long coat and lingerie.
“Soon,” the caption reads…
As incongruous as they may seem, lacy lingerie and longer boxer shorts are both in right now. Much like jockstraps, thongs and lingerie are thriving in a transgressive, post-bottom-shaming era.
Meanwhile, boxer shorts are a complement to the Y2K dirty boy look. We hear they pair nicely with long, baggy jorts!
Judging by his most recent IG pic, Sivan is also working on his mullet.
In that pic, studious gawkers may notice that he’s wearing classic black Calvin’s. When it comes to underwear, Troye doesn’t appear to discriminate. And that’s great.
Regardless of what he’s wearing, we always feel a rush.
