CBS Morning anchors Gayle King and Nate Burleson enjoyed a lighthearted moment with correspondent Tom Hanson on Tuesday.
Hanson, 35, reported on a rise in shark sightings along the East Coast. He stood on a beach in New Jersey in a figure-hugging black T-shirt.

He ended his report by assuring viewers that despite the rise, shark attacks remain rare.
“Guys, I don’t know. The water’s feeling pretty warm. There are dolphins in it. It’s calm. I might take a dip after this live shot,” Tom told the hosts in the studio.
His colleagues couldn’t fail to notice he’s been putting in the hours in the gym.
Nate Burleson responded, “Well, I’ll tell you what, Tom, you are looking like a shark on land with those guns out.”
Gayle King added, “Yeah, we were talking about, Tom Hanson. Suns out, guns out. You want to give us a muscle?”
Handson duly obliged, laughing. This prompted Burleson to start fanning himself, joking, “It’s getting hot in here real quick. Okay, Tommy boy!”

Hanson graduated from the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication at Arizona State University in 2012. His career has included stints with CNN in Atlanta and Washington, D.C. He’s been with CBS since 2018 and is now based in New York City.

As far as we are aware, Hanson is single. Just Jared reports that he was previously linked to ESPN diversity and inclusion executive Heath Rosenthal but claims they’re no longer an item.
