Place Description: Baby Basics is a volunteer-led project aiming to support new mothers and families who are struggling to meet the financial and practical burden of looking after a new baby.
Working with midwives, health visitors and other professional groups to provide support directly where it is most needed, Baby Basics volunteers lovingly collect, sort and package a ‘Moses Basket’, baby bath or laundry basket full of clothing, toiletries and essential baby equipment as an attractive gift to new mothers.
Baby Basics Northern Ireland has 7 centres across the province. The regional Hub is in Belfast on the Shankill Road.

All staff are fully trained in youth work practices to engage with children and young people, supporting their learning and providing educational opportunities which aim to develop confidence and resilience.
Ballycraigy Youth Centre is a safe environment where children and young people can express themselves and most importantly have fun with peers.

A dynamic team of 3 full time staff and 20 volunteers aim to “walk alongside” children, young people and young adults to help them achieve their potential by providing advice, love and support. The charity provides a comprehensive programme of recreational, educational, cross community and citizenship initiatives which are geared towards affecting positive change in the lives of young people.
