Place Description: The Oak Healthy Living Centre was set up in order to positively impact the physical and mental health of the inhabitants of the Erne East area and beyond by working with the community to design and implement a range of initiatives promoting well-being and healthy lifestyles, reducing trauma and encouraging social development.
Issues addressed include :-
– Reduce Isolation faced by many families living in rural areas by providing courses etc
– Bring services out to rural communities – Womens Aid, Nexus etc
– Support families to improve general health by providing health promotion programmes
The Club—Drop Inn Centre :-
A Centre where those who’s lives have been impacted by alcohol or mental health can receive support in a non-judgemental environment while enjoying light refreshments (soup, sandwiches, tea, & coffee) Social interaction, meet other people, speak with like minded people and have some fun and receive a range of services appropriate to your needs.

Place Description: Oakridge Day Centre in Dungannon is a Day Care facility for adults with complex learning disabilities and/ or associated physical care needs.
Oakridge aims to provide a quality service in response to a wide range of abilities/disabilities, ensuring high levels of care, stimulation and support.
The centre aims to maximise personal development, independence and integration of people with a disability into their local community, encourage and promote user participation in the planning of services and provide personal, practical and emotional support to service users as required. Oakridge also helps to promote the rights, choice, dignity, respect and sense of fulfilment to people with a learning disability.
Day Care staff work with appropriate Allied Health Professionals as appropriate in order to implement person centred therapeutic programmes as required. Some therapists work with individuals or small groups of service users. Allied Health Professionals include:

Dental Hygiene

The Paediatric Occupational Therapy Service provides community based care for children and young people from birth to 18 years of
Place Description: The Paediatric Occupational Therapy Service provides community based care for children and young people from birth to 18 years of age (19 years in special schools) with motor, sensory and/or learning disabilities.
Services include:
Specialist equipment Equipment is provided which enables the child to function safely in the community. This includes specialist seating for feeding and positioning, wheelchairs, toilet aids, bathing/showering aids and mobility aids.
Major/minor adaptations Adaptations are made to the child’s home. This is carried out through interagency working between the Trust and the Northern Ireland Housing Executive (NIHE)/Housing Associations. School Access Studies
School Access Studies are carried out for children with disabilities in mainstream school.
Pre-school service Assessment and treatment of pre-school aged children is offered in a clinic setting.
Special school service Occupational therapists provide services to seven special schools in the Trust. This requires close collaborative working with the Education Authority and local school principals.
Mainstream paediatric occupational therapy service In addition to assessment and treatment of the children, training to school staff and/or advice in the classroom is also provided. Parent workshops are offered on a regular basis where parents can understand their child’s difficulties and learn strategies that may help in their management.
Complex health needs clinical specialist occupational therapist The complex health needs clinical specialist occupational therapist will, in addition to assessment and treatment of children, provide training and support to parents, carers and other occupational therapy staff. They are also closely involved in hospital discharge planning.
Neonatal Clinical Specialist Occupational Therapist The neonatal clinical specialist occupational therapist will assess, treat and offer support to parents & carers of babies in the Neonatal unit. These babies will be followed through to home and discharge.
Children’s wheelchair clinical specialist occupational therapist The children’s wheelchair clinical specialist is available through the Trust Wheelchair Service. They carry out complex wheelchair assessments and provide staff training and support.
Orthotics A small team of occupational therapists with a specialist interest in upper limb splinting have clinics on a regular basis at different bases across the Trust.
The Paediatric Occupational Therapy Service also provides assistive technology and input into multi-disciplinary child development clinics. Hours of opening The Paediatric Occupational Therapy Service is available from 9 am – 5 pm, Monday to Friday.

Support: To support patients and carers affected by Oesophago-Gastric (Oesophageal and Stomach) Cancer.
Communication: To communicate the early signs and symptoms of Oesophago-Gastric cancer to promote early intervention.
Advocate: To work in partnership with healthcare providers to be patient advocates and promote best outcomes.
Our support services include; wellbeing meetings, group support and one-to-one support.

Place Description: Omagh Day Centre provides a regulated service to up to 65 learning disabled service users who reside in the Omagh area. The focus of the centre is to promote independence through programmes of integration and interaction within the local community. Individuals who attend this centre partake in a full and varied programme of activities incorporating leisure, education, crafts and work experience.

Place Description: Omagh Youth Centre located within the heart of the Omagh community offers children and young people aged 8 – 25, a wide range of activities and projects aimed at supporting emotional, personal and social development outside of the school setting.
All staff are fully trained in youth work practices to engage with children and young people, supporting their learning and providing educational opportunities which aim to develop confidence and resilience.
Omagh Youth Centre is a safe environment where children and young people can express themselves and most importantly have fun with peers.
The centre has fantastic facilities including; a large social area, pool room and group work spaces. There is also a large sports hall where games and activities can be enjoyed.
