Lagan Valley Youth & Community Group (Belfast)

Lagan Village Youth & Community Group aims to engage and provide educational support for young people, adults, and members of the BME Community.

We will do this through our BME English classes, youth diversionary project, Homework Club and Children’s Engagement Programme. Lagan Village Youth & Community Group will also work in partnership with the local community, parents and young people to improve the educational achievements of young people from a Protestant background. Lagan Village Youth & Community Group also provides a regular, twice-weekly Advice Clinic, offering advice on a range of issues including: Welfare benefits and assistance with the completion of application forms thereof, employment, consumer issues, debt and budgeting advice etc. We also host a weekly Counselling service; a monthly Police Advice and Complaints clinic, along with two monthly Housing Advice clinics with Trinity Housing and Helm Housing Associations.
