Carrickore Respite Unit (Newry) - Southern Trust

Carrickore is a new purpose built facility providing respite care for up to eight young people with a disability between the ages of 4 and 18 years. It is located at Windsor Hill, Rathfriland Road, Newry in its own private grounds and is fully landscaped to include a sensory garden. The Young People will each have an ensuite bedroom including all necessary adaptations to meet individually assessed needs. They will share a lounge, kitchen and dining area. There is also an art therapy room, a soft play area and a sensory room. The unit also includes a therapy room for Occupational Therapy, Speech & Language Therapy and Physiotherapy. Carrickore will offer ‘short breaks’ for children with a disability and their families for up to 90 days per yearSocial Work Referral required
