Extern (Northern Ireland)

Extern provide a range of programmes for young people and their families across Northern Ireland. In Belfast we have our Pathways Project, Family & Child Empowerment Service (FACES), Moving Forward Moving On and The Personal Change Project. In Belfast and Bangor our Youth Engagement Service provides support to young people aged 11-24 years. In South Eastern Trust Area Extern provides support to young people and families through our Linx and Janus programmes and Intensive Support Fostering. Our Lac Mentoring Programme supports young people across Northern Ireland as does our Third Space programme. Youth Supports, Early Years & Passport programmes provide community based supports for young people aged 8-18 in the West of the province and family support via Strength 2 Strength. Our Time Out service meets the needs of young people aged 10-18 years and their families by providing an alternative to placement into short and / or planned 3 night / 4 day social, educational, cultural and recreational placement at Extern facility.
