Alex Consani is one of the most in-demand models in the fashion industry. And while it’s nothing new for models to show personality and let us into their lives, Consani has done so by making us laugh first.
The California native is so funny, in fact, it feels as though she could’ve just as easily pursued a career in comedy, and been just as successful as she is now as a model.
While Consani had already made waves in 2015 by becoming the world’s youngest transgender model at the age of 12, she really catapulted into the spotlight after amassing hundreds of thousands of followers on TikTok during the early 2020s, where she won people over with her unfiltered videos.

In the years since, Consani has become the first transgender person to win Model of the Year at the Fashion Awards in 2024, was one of the first transgender models to walk in the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show alongside Valentina Sampaio in 2024, and earlier this year, she once again made history by becoming the first transgender person to serve on the Met Gala’s host committee alongside the likes of Sabrina Carpenter, Sam Smith and Angela Bassett.
Oh, and did we mention that she got the Charli XCX cool girl approval when she was included in the “360” music video? As if you could’ve forgotten…
When it comes to advocating for the community as it faces a barrage of bigotry and discrimination, Consani—whose parents supported her when she came out as a preteen—has expressed a desire to stand up for those who weren’t as fortunate to have the platform or the support that she does.
“It sucks now because the political situation in this country is going against everything that I’ve had,” she told Harper’s Bazaar earlier this year. “I had the ability to get medical and gender-affirming care that allowed me to transition, and that, in turn, validates my transness. I’m considered more acceptably trans than someone who just transitioned, even though we’re the same type of trans, just because I visibly appear more understandable to people.”
Though Consani says that her trans identity doesn’t define her, she feels a beautiful bond to her trans brothers and sisters as they navigate a world that doesn’t make them feel safe and supported.
“What I will say about the trans community as a whole and what I think is so special is that no matter what privilege you have within it, whether you’re Black and trans, white and trans, rich or poor, you’re still trans,” she said.
Consani is proud to be herself: a trans model and influencer who we can’t get enough of.
