Red Line Book Festival at Ballyroan Library with Anthony Delaney
Historian, actor and broadcaster Anthony Delaney sits down with Brian Sheehan to discuss his new book, Queer Georgians: A Hidden History of Lovers, Lawbreakers and Homemakers.
A specialist in queer history and culture, Anthony holds a PhD from the University of Exeter, co-hosts History Hit’s popular After Dark podcast and can currently be seen as DS Jordan MacDonald in Harry Wild, alongside Jane Seymour.
Drawing on diaries, letters, court records and newspapers, his first book uncovers the lives of queer people in Georgian Britain and Ireland. Anthony and Brian will explore some of the remarkable people he discovered and what their stories reveal about queer life and history.
