Two older queer women in London has gone super viral with their love story. The pair featured on the social media account @meetcutesldn. The account stops couples on the street and asks them questions about how long they’ve been together and what they like best about each other.
The women were stopped in central London. One of them, Brenda, says she’ll be 86 this year. Her partner, Deena, is 15 years younger.

Deena says Brenda was born in 1940 and knew that she didn’t like men, but in those days, “it wasn’t heard of.”
Health scares
Asked what their favorite thing is about each other, they both reply “everything.” They exchange looks of clear adoration for one another.
Deena goes on to say she loves Brenda’s “little wrinkles and grey hair.”
“We’ve known each other for about 30 years and got married three years ago,” adds Deena.
She goes on to explain that Brenda was diagnosed with stage 3 bowel cancer. Brenda ended up in ICU and actually died, prompting medical staff to undertake urgent CPR to bring her back to life. In that instant, Deena realized “I couldn’t live without her, so we got married.”
As for advice for younger couples who are just starting out, Deena says, “You’ll know if it’s the right person for you, and it doesn’t matter if it’s a woman or a man, it’s actually the person.”
The video appeared over the weekend. It’s already earned over 5 million views on TikTok and half a million on Instagram.
“This is probably the cutest one I’ve seen. They both have sunshine radiating out of their smiles ❤️,” was one well-liked comment on Instagram.
“Brenda does NOT look 86, just goes to show how happiness makes you full of life ❤️❤️,” was another.
On TikTok, others agreed: “Brenda is 86? I need to know her secret about being so youthful and vibrant!”
Many others simply said the couple’s love for one another moved them to tears.
