It’s been an especially sticky week of gay news.
Tom Hanson flexed for his coworkers, we walked down memory lane with DaveyWavey, and our map daddy had a meltdown.
Plus, Antoni made raspberry sauce, High School Musical got a happy, gay ending, and science proved the top shortage is real. (Gasp!)
Otherwise, we’ve been consumed by hot fits, cute guys, and a woman named Shannon.
How about we take this to the next level?

Below, we share the 10 things we’re obsessed with this week…
1. Nicole Kidman being Madonna
It’s been a good week for Nicole Kidman. The Australian A-lister not only starred in a Troye Sivan music video– more on that later—and revealed she has a lifetime AMC A-List membership after helming their iconic pre-show advertisement, but she blessed the club kids with the quote of a lifetime.
Per British Vogue: “Dinner at 10:30 p.m., club at 1 a.m. I’ll put on glasses. Sometimes I’ll wear a little dark wig to hide, and then I can just dance. As long as I’m surrounded by people — like, I take people with me — then I’m fine. I need it.”
Yup, sounds about right! I need to get her thoughts on “I Feel So Free” by Madonna ASAP.
2. The smells of teen spirit

We’ve got spirit, yes we do! These vintage-inspired mesh BIKE Athletic Short Sleeve Practice Jerseys, available in purple, red, and green for $36 at LGBTQ Outpost, are like if your wildest gym-class fantasies came to life… and got even gayer.
Of course, that’s of BIKE Athletic, which has been supporting athletes (and gays’ fantasies) since 1874, when they invented the jockstrap.
3. She’s the Best by Troye Sivan Vinyl

A new era of Troye Sivan is coming in hot, and if the title track from the twink pop prince’s new record is any indication, it’s about to be a fem top fall.
In addition to the music video, where Sivan dolls himself up in drag alongside Kidman, he also provided a peek inside the packaging.. There are a series of vinyls available for pre-order, including autographed copies and a transparent burnt edition with a collectible poster, both $38.
The track list is yet to be announced, but with visuals this hot, it’s already an instant add-to-cart.
4. Shannon Crave
A comedian named Shannon started sharing Pop Crave-style updates on her day-to-day life, from Wordle scores to Sweetgreen lunch orders, on a hilarious X account titled Shannon Crave. I’ve never been more invested in whether a woman was working from home or the office on a Thursday.
5. Sam Smith covers Fergie
As a gay man who spent the better part of my prepubescent years lip-syncing this melodramatic Fergie ballad, I can’t understate how much Sam Smith‘s tender and emotive rendition of “Big Girls Don’t Cry” means to me.
6. Be Your Own Bestie by Misha Brown
Misha Brown, a.k.a. @yourbestiemisha, has accumulated millions of social media followers with his no-nonsense attitude, loving pep talks, and crucial lessons in not crossing a gay man. So it should come as no surprise that his latest book, Be Your Own Bestie: A No-Nonsense Guide to Changing the Way You Treat Yourself (on sale for $16 on Amazon) is a hilarious but heavy-handed exercise in self-acceptance, loving yourself, and doing it fabulously.
7. Tom Holland
Is the latest film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe worth your time? I’d say this scene of a masked but very shirtless Tom Holland in Spider-Man: Brand New Day (which has already inspired a series of gay copycats) speaks for itself.
8. Allergen-friendly pets

Finally, an animal that your landlord won’t charge you extra for! These origami Paper Desk Pets, which come in cat or dog packs for $14 on Uncommon Goods, may be a little creepy and a lot campy, but they’re a surefire way to not upset your partner’s allergies.
Thankfully, they come with step-by-step folding instructions and videos, and require a low amount of maintenance when you disappear to Fire Island for a week.
9. A candle you can judge by its cover

Virgins on Fire, an LGBTQ+-owned candle company, sold me on their sage and lavender offering ($24 online) based solely on its label: “This candle was handmade by a gay man, not a multinational corporation with a rainbow logo 30 days out the year.” Oop!
Indeed, the Brooklyn-based candlemakers handcraft every one of their candles with care and a little bit of sass. Some of their popular labels include “Just a really intense lesbian energy,” “Dark void filled only with books,” and “F it, I’m buying a cabin.”
10. Jake Schroeder’s fake relationship
Viral comedian Jake Schroeder poked the bear when he shared a satirical fake Grindr conversation with ChatGPT’s Sam Altman, and kept the saga going with a series of doctored DMs, including a flirty invitation to get boba, leading to a serious confusion.
The takeaway? Don’t believe everything you see on Instagram Reels. And in other news, we’ve got an idea for the creators of Heated Rivalry.
