We provide parenting support and carry out individual work with children who are seven or older for issues such as: anxiety, self-esteem, bullying, parental separation, anger management.
We know every family is different, and we tailor our approach to each one. We take a ‘whole family approach’, developing a relationship that works for the individual needs of each family member and child, taking care to listen and value everyone’s needs and provide this support for a period of up to 12 weeks. We provide sessions in homes or at other appropriate venues.

Place Description: What is EISS?
Early Intervention Support Service
The aim of the Early Intervention Support Service is to support families when difficulties arise, before they need involvement with statutory services.
The EISS delivers and coordinates person centred, evidence based early intervention for families with children 0-18 years old within Tier 2 of the Hardiker Model.
NIACRO delivers this service in the Belfast and Southern Health and Social Care Trust areas. It is part of the
Early Intervention Transformation Programme (EITP)
, which is delivered as part of the
Delivering Social Change
agenda in partnership with
Atlantic Philanthropies
.
What does EISS offer? The EISS provides a range of support tailored to the needs of each individual family’s specific circumstances. This is achieved through a key worker who works with the whole family usually in their own home using a strengths based approach which is individually tailored to the needs and priorities identified from the whole family assessment. The EISS works with families for a time limited period – approximately 12 weeks. A range of both hands on practical and therapeutic interventions including motivational interviewing and solution focused brief therapy will be used. It also has access to a range of parenting and support programmes.
How can I access this service? Requests for support for the EISS are welcome from any organisation or individuals, including self requests, provided they meet the criteria for support as detailed below:
