Place Description: The Young Adult Carer and Young Carer Ambassador role has been developed by Action for Children to represent carers aged 8-25. The Ambassador will work closely with carers to ensure their needs are represented in key discussions, consultations and research that impacts on their lives, and that they are heard by policy makers and support providers.
There is no need to be referred to the service, we will engage with carers known to Action for Children, as well as those not currently engaging with support services. Carers can contact the service to find out more, or to get involved with the work of the Ambassador.
There will be opportunities for carers to join small groups across different age ranges to discuss and develop changes that would positively impact their lives. We would encourage any carers aged between 8-25 to contact us to influence the areas of focus, or to join our mailing list where we will up date on this important work.
