Place Description: Youthlife provide counselling and theraputic support for up to 200 children and young people per year aged 5-25 who have experienced the loss of a significant person in their life through bereavement, separation, loss or family breakdown. We are registered as a delivery centre with the Bristish Association of counselling and phycotherpay (BACP) and provide theraputic counselling 1:1, art, play and music therapy. Youthlife is a registered OCN delivery centre and deliver level 2 ‘Peer Mentoring’ training young people who have been through the service to support others managing grief and loss in a safe space with professional support. Our core offer is counselling, art therapy and peer mentoring. Additionally we explore music and play therapies, CBT, group therapy, school projects and more creative and holistic approaches to meet mental health need. We cover Derry and Strabane council area.
