Singer Tommy Fleming opens up about being outed by leaked WhatsApp message: “My hands were forced”

It’s been a strange road to navigate but it’s a lot easier to navigate this one than the one I had been navigating, if that makes sense.

It’s been tough. It’s not been an easy ride. And I don’t expect it to be. Don’t get me wrong. It’s been very sad. That’s the one word that really kind of stands out for me.

In many ways, my hands were forced due to a recording that was made. A friend of mine rang me to say he had received this WhatsApp message with the recording on it.

Have you ever been in a situation where, you know, when people say the oxygen was taken out of the room? But this is when it leaves your body nearly. There’s a feeling of hopelessness. There’s a feeling of ‘What am I going to do? … Maybe it won’t pick up’, you know?

And boy did it pick up.
