Two men, one villa, and zero shame… now what in the gay hell is happening on the straights’ favorite dating show?!?

ICYMI: The eighth season of Love Island USA is currently airing on Peacock and sucking all the oxygen out of our conversations with heterosexual coworkers.

How about we take this to the next level?

The show follows a group of good-looking singles on the aforementioned island, who wear little besides their bathing suits and couple up to avoid elimination. Plus, there’s new episodes, like, every day.

And while we’ve managed to survive three weeks of Season 8 without having to learn what Casa Amor is, a budding bromance between two contestants has finally crossed over into Gay Twitter X, and we can no longer feign ignorance.

Allow us to introduce you to 29-year-old Bryce Alakai Dettloff from Honolulu and Zach Georgiou, 26, from the UK.

Both men entered the villa on Day 1 and have been struggling to find ladies to lock it down with, but they may have found something even more meaningful: each other.

OK, OK, maybe we’re exaggerating a bit here. This is a reality show hosted by Ariana Madix of Vanderpump Rules fame, and last season’s biggest claim to fame wasn’t the romance, but the number of brand deals its leading couple — nicknamed Nicolandria — inked in the end.

But we’ve got to admit, something feels, at the very least, a little queerbait-y here.

What other explanation is there for Zach walking up to Bryce, pulling open his pants, and asking him for a “girth check”?!?

Watch.

And if that wasn’t enough, the two men later unpacked the eggplant viewing in another scene. Underneath a neon sign that read, “All the feels,” naturally.

On his own volition, Bryce commented on the f*cking snake” that his friend has “got down there,” at which point, Zach asked for more deets.

“It’s nearly [the length of] my f*cking b*ner,” Bryce added. And, as if things couldn’t get any more homosexual, Zach then told him, “That was like… like, my semi.”

Did these men forget what show they’re on?!? And how can we guarantee that they’ll never remember!

Watch.

Of course, this is a competition show and there’s $100,000 on the line. So, more likely than not, these two dudes are just buddying up and biding their time in hopes of making it to the finale.

But we’ve got to admit, their budding bromance (and handsy rapport) has certainly gotten our attention.

Could Zach and Bryce become the first fake gay couple in Love Island USA history? As Georgiou told Alakai during a recent episode, “I’m f*cked. What can I do? I haven’t really got any romantic connections.”

Naturally, his buddy quickly replied: “Well, you have me.” Oop!

And to be fair, “girth check” has hardly been the only homoerotic moment between the two.

A quick Google search of “Love Island USA gay” revealed some very friendly stretching, evidence that Zach might be sabotaging Bryce’s relationship with Trinity, and a hotdog on a string challenge that screams, “Happy Pride Month.”

So, have we finally arrived at LGBTQIA+ Island?

Probably not.

But the tension between Zach and Bryce is certainly playful and palpable.

So if you catch us tuning in tonight, tomorrow, and the day after, no judgement!
