Celebrating Another Year of HERe NI!
A huge thank you to everyone who joined us for our AGM this evening, including our wonderful members, Board of Directors, staff team and the Lord Mayor of Belfast, Cllr Róis-Máire Donnelly Cllr Róis-Máire Donnelly, who kindly attended and delivered a speech.
It was a fantastic opportunity to reflect on another busy and successful year for HERe NI, celebrating our achievements, the impact of our work and, most importantly, the incredible community at the heart of everything we do. 💜
One of the highlights of the evening was the launch of our latest research report, ‘Still Invisible? LGBTQIA+ Women’s Health and Service Needs in Northern Ireland’, undertaken by our researcher Tolu.
Drawing on findings from our Out Connections Survey, this is an incredibly rich and important piece of research, providing valuable insights into the experiences, health needs and barriers faced by LGBTQIA+ women across Northern Ireland. These findings will play an important role in informing our future work, strengthening our advocacy and ensuring that LGBTQIA+ women’s voices are heard.
We also took time to celebrate the remarkable impact of our LGBTQIA+ Heritage Project, reflecting on everything achieved to date and the importance of preserving, documenting and sharing our community’s stories and history for future generations.
Above all, tonight was a celebration of people, partnerships and progress. We are incredibly proud of what we have achieved together and grateful to everyone who continues to support, champion and contribute to the work of HERe NI.
Here’s to another year of building visibility, strengthening our community and creating positive change for LGBTQIA+ women and their families across Northern Ireland!
