Barnsley Pride

Barnsley Pride was formed again in 2017 after a few small years break due to breakdown of funding. The Pride has grown from strength to strength from a small street, to a popular town center outside location. The Pride in 2024 saw 3 stages, the Main outside family stage, an Indoor stage aimed for over 18’s and an open mic stage. There was also an Indoor Market that included an array of stalls from charities to traders.
The pride is organised by a small group of volunteers, who work in partnership with the local council and Barnsley Civic (creative arts hub). The event relies on sponsorship and funding each year.
