Child Protection / Child Abuse

Children and young people can suffer abuse in many settings, for example, in a family, or in an institutional or community setting. Often the abuse will be committed by someone who is known to them. However, sometimes the abuse may be committed by a stranger.
Should you need to report any incident of child abuse contact: • The police service on 101, the non-emergency telephone number, where you will be put in contact with a specially trained police officer. • In an emergency situation dial 999.
