Eating Disorders Association NI (EDANI) - Belfast
The Eating Disorders Association of Northern Ireland was founded in 1992 to offer support, training and advocacy services to eating disorder sufferers, their loved ones, professionals and the general public.
The peer support service is free, confidential, you do not need to have a diagnosis and self referral is accepted. It includes:
Helpline (09:00 – 17:00)
1-1 sessions via email, phone, Zoom or in-person appointment
Monthly in person support groups for sufferers and loved ones on the last Tuesday of the month
Online support groups for loved ones and those with BED, ARFID, anorexia/bulimia or related difficulties
An advocacy service to help those access the appropriate services
The training service includes:
Awareness talks for children and young people
Prevention workshops for schools, youth clubs and community groups
Awareness training programmes for professionals wishing to further their knowledge on eating disorders.
