Shepherds View Young Parents Project aims are to provide a supportive environment to enable young parents to develop the confidence and skills to function well as individuals and parents.

To work in partnership with parents and children developing supportive relationships based on mutual respect and openness, and to offer a range of support to young parents to enable them to return to their community of choice

Support which is tailored to the needs of the individual :-

On going review of individuals needs
Offer practical support with daily living skills i.e. shopping, budgeting.
Help in accessing benefits, education and employment opportunities if required.
Advocate on behalf of the individual when required.
24/7 On Call Service.
Offers recreational and leisure activities
Emotional support and listening ear
Liase with appropriate housing association with regards to repairs and maintenance.
Deal with housing benefit and housing renewal forms.
Providing crisis intervention and linking the individual to the appropriate services.
Support and encouragement to participate within your local community.
