Floating Support (Ballymena) - Triangle Housing

Triangle work with people aged 16-65 years and who are in accommodation, or setting up home. They can offer advice and support to enable a person to move to more appropriate accommodation and provide practical support, advice and assistance that might affect their tenancy. Complex issues such as Poverty, Mental & Physical ill health, addiction and crisis accompany the bulk of applications.

The Floating Support Service is designed to help people secure and maintain their tenancies. The service is widely recognised as being an example of best practice and has specialist innovations for e.g. offenders, young vulnerable homeless, care leavers and rehabilitation of offenders.

Floating Support is provided in your own home or other suitable place by a support worker and can provide help and advice in all sorts of areas, such as:
• Budgeting and financial management
• Advice on housing rights and responsibilities
• Claiming welfare benefits, paying bills and debts
• Setting up home and resettlement support
• Understanding tenancy agreements
• Life skills and being independent at home
• Staying safe at home
• How to access daytime activities, training, education and employment
within a community
• Finding a doctor and accessing other necessary services in the
community
• Dealing with other agencies
• Neighbour issues
