Home-Start Ards Comber and Peninsula Area offer support to families with at least one child under 5 years, who are experiencing difficulties for a number of different reasons including:
Isolation,
parents or childrens mental health or well being,
parents or children with physical disabilities,
multiple births,
lone or first time parents,
parents experiencing bereavement or relationship difficulties,
parents experiencing post-natal illness.
Main Service is home visiting by volunteers for 2-4 hours each week. We also provide respite and family group services.

In addition to Family Support  our services include;
a Childrens Charity Shop at 2 Ann Street, Newtownards
a general Charity Shop at 52 Castle Street, Comber.
We support families across the whole of Ards, ie, all of Newtownards, Comber, Ballygowan, Killinchy and Ards Peninsula Areas.
We welcome volunteering enquiries for family support, helping in our shops, transporting families 028 4278 8369 (MainOffice)/ 028 9182 8468 (Charity Shop/Family Support Centre).
