Huntingtons Disease Association Northern Ireland (HDANI)
HDANI provides the following services to those affected in any way by Huntington’s Disease across Northern Ireland;
Family Support Workers: To provide emotional and practical support, advice, and information in any area that could be impacted by HD or by being a carer, from finances to employment, housing, accessing medical services, genetic testing, family planning, explaining HD to others.
Huntington’s Disease information: via our website, newsletter, e–zine and social media pages.
Annual Family Conference: learning and social events
Monthly facilitated support groups: in Belfast, Omagh, Newry & Maghera which are open to patients, those at risk of inheritance, family members, carers, partners and friends
An event-based facilitated service for children and young adults
Specialist training and events for health and social care professionals
Campaigning and lobbying for improved services
