Looked After Children Team (Ballymoney/Coleraine) - Northern Trust

The service seeks to return children/young people in care to live with their birth family/extended family, offering support while this happens, but where return is not possible, to find a permanent option using a variety of legal options.

Teams regularly visit children/young people to support and monitor their well being and also to listen to their views about their situation.

They prepare a Care Plan for each child to facilitate development of his/her physical and emotional well being, including regular contact with schools and to update on the progress of the children/young people.
