The Minority Inclusion Front (MIF UK) is a refugee-led LGBTQ+ grassroots organization advancing justice, dignity, and inclusion for LGBTQ+ refugees, asylum seekers, and minority communities.
Our distinctiveness lies in the fact that all our leaders and volunteers have lived experience of displacement and exclusion, ensuring our work is rooted in community realities.
MIF UK’s work is rooted in the values of visibility, support, and empowerment for minoritized communities.
Our goals are as follows:
Amplify LGBTQ+ Refugee Stories: We work with art centers to elevate the voices of LGBTQ+ refugees through creative projects, exhibitions, and performances that allow communities to better understand the challenges, triumphs, and resilience of LGBTQ+ individuals forced to flee their homelands.
Address LGBTQ+ Loneliness: We provide workshops, social events, and creative group activities tailored for LGBTQ+ young people and seniors, combating isolation and building supportive communities.
Promote Anti-Bullying and Peer Support in Schools: Through art-based workshops, performances, and discussions, we tackle issues of bullying and discrimination in schools, fostering inclusive environments where diversity is celebrated.
