Producing bridges between art and cinema // Bringing people together through workshops, screenings and talks.
Other People’s Films is a production collective, founded in 2022, dedicated to producing ambitious films that sit at the intersection of artist moving image and conventional cinema with a strong artistic voice. Our long-term goal is to create new bridges and understandings between high-street cinema and art gallery audiences. We develop and platform the films of women and non-binary artists and directors who make work at the intersection of both forms and do not have easy access to funding. OPF also programme special screenings and organise free practical workshops to develop the skills of early-career filmmakers by sharing the knowledge we gathered by making our own films.
Our films have been funded by Arts Council England, British Council, FLAMIN, & the BFI Network. Other collaborations and support have come from Autograph Gallery, The Common Press, the Arab Image Foundation, AFS Studios, the IPG, BFI Flare.
