Prostate Cancer UK
Prostate Cancer UK offer a range of support services for men with prostate cancer and their loved ones.
Our
Specialist Nurses
(at prostatecanceruk.org) offer free, unbiased, confidential support and information to men, their partners, family members, friends and also to help professionals. They’re available to call Monday to Friday: 9am – 5pm (Wednesday: 10am – 5pm) on 0800 074 8383.
Dealing with prostate cancer can be different for each man. Some men choose to speak to someone who has been through a prostate cancer diagnosis themselves, our
one-to-one support service
(at prostatecanceruk.org) offers this. Others prefer to use our
online community
(at prostatecanceruk.org) which allows men to ask questions and for advice, answers, support and information. In Northern Ireland, there is a
volunteer hub
(at prostatecanceruk.org) for men and their loved ones affected by prostate cancer that meet every six weeks.
We also offer a range of
services
(at prostatecanceruk.org) to support with the emotional, mental and physical wellbeing aspects of prostate cancer.
The side effects of prostate cancer can also impact men and their loved ones.
The Sexual Support service
(at prostatecanceruk.org) offers men and their partners the opportunity to talk to one of our Specialist Nurses with an interest in helping men having sexual problems after treatment for prostate cancer. Another common side effect of prostate cancer is
fatigue
(at prostatecanceruk.org) , our Specialist Nurses help men experiencing fatigue as a result of prostate cancer.
We also offer a range of
free printed and digital information
(at prostatecanceruk.org) for men and their families wanting to find out more information about prostate cancer diagnosis, treatments and support.
