Safe Space Merseyside is a Trans+ led organisation, which aims to support transgender and non-binary people across the Merseyside area by running social events and providing a directory of businesses and organisations who have pledged that they are a safe space for Trans+ people.
We run Liverpool-based social events where we’ve identified a lack of provision for the transgender and non-binary community. Our socials are mid-week, evenings and in a listed safe space which is intentionally not a cafe or bar. We have the use of a private room, the venue is wheelchair accessible and a gender-neutral toilet is available. Our socials are free and have no obligation to buy food or drinks. You only need to bring your wonderful self.
We list businesses and organisations from right across the Merseyside region, including Liverpool, Knowsley, Sefton, St Helens, and Wirral. We also list businesses in Halton and Chester due to their close proximity.
We also operate a chest binder exchange – please do reach out if you can’t afford but are in need of a binder, or if you can donate one.
