Threshold Children's Service (Belfast)

Psychotherapy Service
This brief child psychotherapy service offers a 12-15 week intervention to children with moderate emotional difficulties. Within health and social care this is referred to as a ‘Tier 2’ service. Overall, between 30 and 40 children are seen individually in this service with sites in Strabane, Omagh, Enniskillen and Glengormley. Our outcome findings demonstrate that children feel more able to express their thoughts and feelings after this intervention and exhibit less emotional difficulties.
